I've had this on my belt for about three months of framing work and the leather hasn't stretched out or gotten floppy at all. The steel hardware keeps the loop rigid so my hammer slides in and out one-handed without me looking down.

The steel hardware sandwiched in the leather gives it a solid feel without digging into my hip after a full day of framing. Two months in and the stitching hasn't loosened a bit.

The leather has barely broken in and the steel hardware already holds my framing hammer without any sag. After two weeks of daily use the stitching hasn't loosened a bit.
